Hormone Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I schedule an appointment?
A: For initial hormone consultations, we ask that you first come in for a lab panel. After your labs are completed, we will schedule a consultation with one of our nurse practitioners to review your results and discuss your concerns.

No appointment is needed for lab work, and fasting is not required.

Lab Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Q: When will my lab results be available?
A: For new patients, lab results will be reviewed with you at your initial consultation and will be available in your patient portal after your visit.

For current patients, lab results are typically received and reviewed within 7 business days. Thank you for your patience.

Q: Does your office accept insurance? A: Our office is primarily self-pay. However, we can file insurance for certain lab work when applicable. All other services are paid out of pocket at the time of service.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept? A: We accept cash, credit/debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and Care Credit.

Q: What if I have questions after my appointment? A: Please send a message through our patient portal and we will respond as quickly as possible. We’re happy to help.

Q: What is hormone replacement therapy (HRT)?A: Hormone replacement therapy helps restore hormone levels that may decline with age or imbalance. Treatment is customized and may help improve symptoms such as fatigue, weight changes, mood swings, brain fog, low libido, and sleep concerns.

Q: How long does it take to feel results?
A: Many patients begin noticing improvements within a few weeks, but full benefits may take several weeks to a few months depending on the treatment and individual response.

Q: Is hormone therapy for men and women?
A: Yes. Hormone therapy can support both men and women experiencing symptoms related to hormone imbalance or decline.

Q: What labs are included in my initial hormone evaluation?
A: Your initial lab panel is comprehensive and includes a complete blood count (CBC), comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP), thyroid panel, hormone levels, and key vitamin markers.

If additional testing is recommended based on your results or symptoms, your provider will review this with you during your consultation and order any further labs as needed.

Q: What is pellet therapy? A: Pellet therapy is a form of hormone replacement therapy that uses small, bioidentical hormone pellets placed just under the skin, typically in the hip area. These pellets slowly release a consistent dose of hormones over time, helping maintain stable hormone levels without the daily need for pills, creams, or injections.

Q: Do you provide other hormone replacement therapy (HRT) options besides pellets?
A: Yes. In addition to pellet therapy, we offer several hormone replacement options to fit your needs and preferences. Depending on your treatment plan, options may include injections, creams, or other forms of hormone therapy.

Your provider will review your lab results, symptoms, lifestyle, and goals to help determine the best and most effective option for you.
